If a sumac tree grows in Brooklyn, the magnolia represents the Bronx. Or at least in some people’s memories. The New York Botanical Gardens and the landlord-level gardens below the aqueduct both have these beautiful magnolia trees that give respite to the city that never sleeps. Use for screens, use for railings, use for fun.
