DaVita Gallery Wall
- Denver, CO
- July 2021
Project Background
Parasoleil had the honor of teaming up with Acquilano Interior Architecture once again for a second project at the DaVita headquarters in Denver, Colorado. This project included a very unique design for DaVita's recently renovated lobby which consisted of a 36-panel gallery wall installation, coffee bar counter top, and wall mounted solid aluminum panels in the newly designed lounge area. The architect and owner specified our Cor-11 finish to match the rooftop deck installation completed in 2018.
Approach
This exceptionally detailed project included very tight tolerances and schedule. A partial mock-up was made to ensure radius and return of center panel break, eliminating any visual distraction when viewed from either side. To achieve a clean transition between adjacent planes of plinth, the panels needed to be welded and grounded smooth up to a certain point without reducing the integrity of the weld. Flush mounts were strategically placed on the back of the panels to fasten the acrylic sheets to allow the backlighting to be diffused through the panels when illuminated.
Through the close coordination by Parasoleil along with the architectural and install team, details were of the utmost importance. The teams collaborated with press brake operations and the welding team to verify all production processes which was followed by quality control and local delivery.
