Project Background
When Denver Botanic Garden built the Hive Café, near the lilly pond and nestled in a grove of trees, Parasoleil's design team looked for a solution that would blend the experience of sitting under shade trees with a built structure that would extend the same feel.
Approach
Parasolei’s Winter Branches© panels, installed on a substantial wooden structure, cast organic shadows on the ground, table tops, and even the vertical surfaces of the overhead support beams to envelope the garden’s patrons in a play of light and shadow that both shelters and changes with the passing of the sun bridging the experience to other areas of the garden.
